shopsmart launch update

It’s been just over a week since the shopsmart marketplace went live and what a week it’s been!

The marketplace is already becoming popular and the company has been inundated with multiple vendors looking to find out more about them and how they too can join this new online shopping community.

Customer Services Manager, Abdul Mateen commented, ‘I’m very happy to update that so far customer and vendor feedback has been overwhelmingly positive with a high-level of satisfaction with the orders placed and products shipped. Of course, being very early in our launch phase, we are still encountering teething problems and doing whatever we can to improve and streamline our fulfilment process.  To this effect, we are making sure that every customer placing an order is contacted to ensure they are getting the best level of service we can offer'.

By partnering with several local vendors, shopsmart is already listing a wide array of products in several key categories. In early December, shopsmart signed an agreement with Adyala Electronics - one of Punjab’s largest electronic retailers. With a huge showroom in Rawalpindi, Adyala Electronics offers a wide range of household appliances, kitchen appliances and electrical products and are excited to be part of the shopsmart community.

Mr. Mian Awais Qaiser from Adyala commented, ‘We are really looking forward to working with the shopsmart team to market our products and are ready to accommodate demand as it arises. Being part of shopsmart has meant that we’ve have had to increase our existing inventory to service the online expansion in the Pakistani market. I’m pleased to say that we’re working with the team to bring some really amazing offers to our customers in the coming weeks.’

With eCommerce developing quicker than online retailers can deliver, the future is rapidly changing all around the world, which of course includes Pakistan. Saying that, shopsmart has big plans to embrace some of these changes, like increasing its product offerings to cater for categories like fashion and furniture over the coming months. As the user base grows, plans are already being put in place by the company to use Artificial Intelligence to make product recommendations. Similarly, shopsmart will work with vendors to analyze current trends alongside their products, customers, and buyer behavior to identify the best time and price to list their products. This should save endless hours of number crunching and will help brands to accelerate sales and boost profits immediately.
